Hyperliquid is rapidly expanding its decentralized derivatives dominance through record open interest, tokenized equities, institutional integrations, and growing regulatory scrutiny.

President Trump hosted crypto and market executives — Coinbase, Gemini, Kraken, Robinhood, Nasdaq and ICE among them — alongside SEC Chair Atkins and CFTC Chair Selig, urging Congress to pass a "fair version" of the CLARITY Act. Trump also said Selig is working to bring Hyperliquid into the US "in a fully compliant and legal fashion," sending HYPE up about 19%. No binding outcomes emerged; the CFTC's Innovation Advisory Committee meets the following day. CNBC separately reported unusual call-option buying around the Hyperliquid remarks, including trades placed shortly before them.
