Privacy Policy

Last updated 12 July 2026

This policy explains how Lodewire (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use Cut Through Crypto (the “Service”). We aim to collect as little as possible and to be clear about what we do with it.

What we collect

  • Newsletter — if you subscribe, the email address you provide (and any name you add), so we can send you the editions you asked for.
  • Account (optional) — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a Google account identifier. You can use the public site without signing in.
  • Technical data — standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) needed to operate and secure the site, and essential cookies that keep you signed in and remember display preferences (like light/dark theme).

We do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell your personal data.

How we use it

  • To send the newsletter editions you subscribed to.
  • To authenticate your account and remember your preferences.
  • To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Legal bases

Where data-protection law (such as the UK GDPR / EU GDPR) applies, we rely on your consent for the newsletter (withdrawable at any time), our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and, where relevant, the performance of our Terms with you.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies — for authentication sessions and interface preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add privacy-preserving analytics in future, we will update this policy.

Service providers

We share data only with the providers that run the Service on our behalf, each under its own terms:

  • Vercel — website hosting and content delivery.
  • Supabase — database and authentication.
  • Resend — sending newsletter emails.
  • Cloudflare — DNS and network security.
  • Google — optional sign-in (OAuth), if you use it.

International transfers

These providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your newsletter email until you unsubscribe; account data until you delete your account or ask us to; and technical logs for a limited period for security and operational purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or the unsubscribe page. To exercise any right, contact us at support@cutthroughcrypto.com.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change, and we will flag material changes where appropriate.
