Grayscale Moves to Turn Its Zcash Trust Into an ETF — With Its Own Parent Group in Talks to Seed It
Grayscale filed a fourth amended registration statement on August 18 to convert its Zcash Trust into an exchange-traded fund listed on NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCSH, which would be the first US spot ETF tracking a privacy coin if the SEC declares it effective. The filing discloses non-binding discussions for DCG International Investments — a subsidiary of Grayscale's parent — to acquire shares in exchange for roughly 200,000 ZEC, about $110 million at recent prices. ZEC rose about 9%.
