Citi and DBS Just Moved Dollars on a Saturday — on Swift's Own Blockchain

DBS and Citi completed what both banks described as the first weekend US dollar payment between Singapore and the United States, using tokenised deposits on Swift's Digital Ledger, per The Block and CoinDesk. No transaction size or settlement detail was disclosed. The payment is the first publicised live transaction on the ledger Swift is building with more than thirty financial institutions, and extends bank-money settlement outside traditional banking hours.
