Bitcoin ETFs End Outflow Streak

Bitcoin ETFs End Outflow Streak

BitcoinJul 13, 2026

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $197.4 million in net weekly inflows, ending an eight-consecutive-week outflow streak that had accumulated approximately $8 billion in redemptions. Ethereum ETFs also participated in the rebound, with combined BTC and ETH ETF inflows reaching $282 million for the week. Bitcoin held $64,000 support during the period.

ETF Flows isn't really news!

The headlines over the last month suggests there was a Bitcoin ETF outflow crisis.

It is a top three storyline here on Cut Through Crypto, and the articles keep rolling in daily. But how much really substance sits behind the headlines?

We hear $197.4m of net inflows last week, seems like a huge win.

We hear $8.6 billion net outflow over the previous 8 weeks, and think of the $197.4m win as a blip.

We may even look at the ~$78 billion AUM in Bitcoin ETFs and tell ourselves there isn’t a complete exodus from Bitcoin ETFs.

In the end, over-analysing Bitcoin ETFs is a fools errand.

At any moment there are plenty of actors with varying motivations for de-risking or profit-taking or rotating for fee optimisation or running a cash-and-carry trade. It all makes the ‘end of the week’ play quite meaningless.

The bitcoin price, general sentiment and macro environment tells us the market is risk off Bitcoin at the moment. No amount of ETF tracking is going to give greater insight!

That’s why here on Cut Through Crypto, most of the Bitcoin EFT in-flow / out-flow news will be shelved - in case you were wondering!
