Verified · 27 Aug 2026Institutional TransitionAug 27, 2026

Revolut began a phased rollout of EURR, a euro-pegged stablecoin, to selected customers in Denmark, Poland and Portugal, per the company — issued under MiCA by Bridge Building S.A., the Luxembourg entity of Stripe-owned Bridge, which holds the reserves; Revolut's MiCA-authorised European arm distributes it in-app, initially on Ethereum and Polygon with external-wallet transfers supported. Coverage noted the launch comes as Revolut withdraws Tether's USDT from EEA and Swiss accounts, with remaining balances converted after August 31; Revolut says stablecoins in other currencies are in development.
